An identity and one-page site for an imagined Alpine guiding company. Built to test how far a layout can be reduced before it stops feeling warm.

I'm Milan — eighteen, based in Switzerland, and building milan.swiss into a small design practice for people who care how their work looks and how it holds up. No account managers, no handoffs. You talk to the person doing the work.
01 / Studio
I started designing because I couldn't leave interfaces alone — the spacing that was almost right, the type that was nearly balanced. That impulse turned into a practice. milan.swiss is where it lives now: a studio run by one person, from Gossau, working with people who want something made properly rather than made quickly.
Being eighteen isn't the pitch. It just means I've grown up on the web this work is made for, I'm not carrying a decade of habits, and I have the time to sit with a problem until the answer is obvious rather than adequate.
The studio is currently shaping its first client engagements. That's a deliberate pace — I'd rather open the doors with a body of work I stand behind than take everything that comes and dilute it.
Small is the strategy. You get the person who made the decisions, not a summary of them.
02 / Focus
The studio's opening scope. Narrow on purpose — these are the areas I can take responsibility for end to end, from the first sketch to the live site.
Sites built around one clear idea, then designed until every line, weight and margin earns its place.
The visual language around a name — palette, type, tone and the rules that keep it coherent as it grows.
A single page with a single job. Sharp copy hierarchy, honest proof, and nothing competing for attention.
The pieces that don't fit a template — interactive sections, custom motion, small tools with real craft in them.
Not a full-service agency, and not trying to be. If a project needs photography, copywriting at scale or a large engineering team, I'll say so early and point you somewhere better.
03 / Work
No client work is published yet — so nothing here pretends to be. These are self-initiated briefs I set myself to develop the studio's range and prove out the details.

This site. The studio's own first brief — a working demonstration of the palette, typography and restraint I bring to client projects.
Swiss grid, pastel surfaces, motion kept quiet
Client case studies will replace these as the first projects ship. Want to be one of them? Get in touch.
04 / Process
Four stages, no ceremony. Short enough to stay honest about where a project stands at any moment.
We talk before anything is designed. What the project is for, who it speaks to, what success actually looks like. No brief template, no account manager in between.
One considered direction rather than three safe ones — palette, typography and layout logic, argued for rather than presented as options.
Design and build happen together, in the browser, on real content. You see progress as it happens instead of waiting for a reveal.
Performance, accessibility and SEO checked before go-live, then handed over with everything documented so the work stays yours.

05 / Contact
The studio is booking from autumn 2026 and open to select collaborations before then. If you have something taking shape — even loosely — I'd like to hear about it.
Thank you — I read every enquiry personally and will reply within two days.
